Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 19, 2026

Aliro Technologies, Inc., doing business as Aliro Quantum ("Aliro," "we," "us," or "our"), provides quantum networking software and services to enterprise and government customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our websites, interact with our marketing and sales activities, apply for a job with us, or otherwise engage with us.

This policy covers:

  • Our websites: aliroquantum.com and its subdomains, including community.aliroquantum.com (our customer community), trust.aliroquantum.com (our customer trust center), and qsc.aliroquantum.com (quantum network simulator)
  • Our marketing activities, including our newsletter, webinars, events, and online advertising
  • Our sales and customer relationship activities
  • Our recruiting activities, including the careers form on our website

This policy does not cover personal information we process within customer deployments of our products (such as Aliro Orchestrator or AlirOS). That processing is governed by our agreements with each customer. If you use an Aliro product through your employer or another organization, contact that organization for information about its privacy practices. This policy also does not cover our employees' and contractors' information, which is addressed in a separate internal notice.

If you have questions about this policy or our privacy practices, contact us at privacy@aliroquantum.com.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. We collect personal information you choose to give us, including:

  • Contact and business information when you fill out a form, request a demo, contact us, register for a webinar or event, or subscribe to our newsletter: your name, business email address, business phone number, employer, job title, and the contents of your message.
  • Job application information when you apply for a position through our careers page: your name, contact details, resume or CV, and any other information you include in your application.
  • Community account information if you join our customer community: your name, email address, and the content you post.
  • Trust center access information if you request access to our customer trust center: your name, business email address, and organization.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit our websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type and settings, device information, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. Section 4 describes our use of cookies and how you can control them.

Information from other sources. We obtain business contact information from third-party sources as part of standard business-to-business prospecting, including publicly available sources such as professional networking sites and public company directories, and from event organizers and business partners. The categories of information we obtain this way are limited to professional contact details: name, business email, employer, and role.

We do not intentionally collect government identification numbers, health information, biometric information, precise geolocation, or payment card information through our websites. Our websites and services are designed for business users, and we do not knowingly collect information from consumers acting in a personal or household capacity.

Providing personal information to us is voluntary; you are not under a statutory or contractual obligation to provide it. If you choose not to provide certain information, the only consequence is that we may be unable to respond to your inquiry, provide the content or access you requested, or consider your job application.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide information you request
  • Operate our sales and customer relationship processes, including maintaining records of business contacts in our customer relationship management system
  • Send marketing communications, including our newsletter (with your opt-in) and business-to-business outreach (which you can opt out of at any time)
  • Advertise our products and services, including through the online advertising practices described in Section 5
  • Operate, secure, and improve our websites, including analytics and usage measurement
  • Process and evaluate job applications
  • Operate our customer community and trust center, including verifying access requests
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents and fraudulent or unauthorized activity

Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the UK GDPR, or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and freedoms. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests as described in Section 10.

3. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects for you, and we do not engage in profiling of that kind.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our websites. They fall into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the websites to function, including security and load balancing. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use our websites so we can improve them. We use Google Analytics and the analytics features of our website platform (HubSpot).
  • Advertising. Support the advertising practices described in Section 5, including retargeting. These include technologies from Google and LinkedIn.

Your choices. If you visit our websites from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie preferences link on our websites. Wherever you are located, you can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.

Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for the browser you are using.

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, for which no common industry standard exists. GPC, described above, is the signal we honor.

5. Online Advertising

We advertise our products and services to business audiences. Our practices include:

  • Retargeting and interest-based advertising. We work with Google and LinkedIn to show ads to people who have visited our websites or who match business audience criteria. These partners use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads across sites and services.
  • Contact list matching. We may upload hashed business contact lists to Google (Customer Match) and LinkedIn (Matched Audiences) so those platforms can show our ads to matched users on their services.

Opting out. You can opt out of our targeted advertising by: (a) declining or withdrawing cookie consent through our cookie preferences link; (b) enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser; or (c) using the platform-level controls offered by Google (adssettings.google.com) and LinkedIn (your LinkedIn ad preferences). Industry opt-out tools are also available at optout.aboutads.info.

We do not "sell" personal information for money or other valuable consideration, as "sale" is defined under applicable US state privacy laws, and we do not share personal information with third parties for those third parties' own marketing. The advertising practices described above involve disclosing limited information (such as online identifiers and hashed email addresses) to advertising partners to promote our own products. Some privacy laws treat this as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" subject to an opt-out right, which we provide as described in this section and Section 10.

6. How We Share Personal Information

We share personal information with:

  • Service providers that process information on our behalf under contracts that restrict their use of it. Categories include: customer relationship management and marketing platform; website and community platform hosting; analytics providers; cloud infrastructure providers; identity, email, and document collaboration platforms; IT and security service providers; compliance and trust center platform; recruiting and HR service providers; and professional advisors such as legal counsel and accountants.
  • Advertising partners (Google and LinkedIn) as described in Section 5.
  • Public authorities and other parties when required or permitted by law, including to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aliro, our customers, or others; or to detect and prevent fraud or security threats.
  • Parties to a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not rent or trade personal information.

7. International Data Transfers

Aliro is headquartered in the United States, and we process personal information on systems located in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States or other countries that have not received an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards: the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented as needed by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Swiss-law adaptations.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and then delete or anonymize it. How long we keep information depends on: the nature of our relationship with you (for example, an active customer contact versus a single inquiry); our legal, tax, and accounting obligations; the time limits for potential legal claims; and our legitimate business needs. Job application information is retained for one year after the conclusion of the recruiting process unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we consider you for other positions with your permission. When we no longer need personal information but cannot immediately delete it (for example, because it sits in backup archives), we isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.

9. Security

We maintain a written information security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, overseen by our security leadership. Our program is aligned to recognized frameworks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.

10. Your Privacy Rights

All visitors

Regardless of where you live, you can: opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in any message or contacting us; opt out of our targeted advertising as described in Section 5; and contact us at privacy@aliroquantum.com with any privacy question or request. We respond to requests within the timeframe required by applicable law — generally within 30 to 45 days, with the possibility of an extension for complex requests where the law permits.

United States residents

We voluntarily extend the following rights to all US residents, whether or not a specific state privacy law applies to our processing of your information:

  • Access. Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and a copy of it.
  • Correction. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion. Request that we delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt-out of targeted advertising. Request that we exclude your information from the advertising practices in Section 5. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal for this purpose.

We do not "sell" personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not use personal information for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise these rights, email privacy@aliroquantum.com. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your information and, where reasonable, additional verification. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response; appeals are reviewed by a different decision-maker. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General to lodge a complaint where applicable law provides for that. You may also use an authorized agent, in which case we will require proof of authorization.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If the GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss FADP applies, you have the right to: access your personal information; rectify inaccurate information; erase your information; restrict processing; data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@aliroquantum.com.

Other jurisdictions

If you are located in another jurisdiction whose privacy law grants you rights in personal information we hold, we will honor requests to access, correct, or delete your information and requests to stop direct marketing, consistent with that law. Contact privacy@aliroquantum.com.

11. Children

Our websites and services are intended for business users. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@aliroquantum.com and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Sites and Services

Our websites link to third-party sites and embed third-party content, including webinar platforms, video hosting, and social media. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not apply to them.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and if we make material changes, we will provide more prominent notice, such as a statement on our homepage or an email where appropriate. Archived prior versions are available on request.
